“The Tide” is a collection of songs that I made over the period of a year or so. Six of the songs are original scores to specific films; the other five were side projects I made for fun. The title of the album, “The Tide”, came about while my wife and I were deciding which song we should name the album after. We decided on “The Tide” because it hit on every aspect the album should communicate. Namely diversity, storytelling, experimentation, and just having fun.
My prayer has been that, though void of lyrics to communicate it, this album would point others to the story of God’s redemption for us in Christ. By giving it away it serves as a reminder of how Jesus gave up his life for us on the cross.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20
